About Us

At Tinsmiths, we gather what is beautiful, useful and enduring — fabrics and objects of quality that enrich the everyday.

Tinsmiths Shop Interior

A curated range of fabrics & homeware

Phoebe Clive founded Tinsmiths in 2004 with the vision of offering a carefully curated collection of timeless fabrics, lighting, and homeware. From the very beginning, our guiding principle has been simple: to bring together only the highest quality pieces that offer genuine, lasting value — items that work beautifully, stand the test of time, and bring joy to everyday living.

At Tinsmiths, we collaborate with artists, designers, and skilled makers to produce distinctive woven and printed fabrics, alongside artisan ceramics and exceptional examples of traditional craft. Our passion lies in championing thoughtful design and craftsmanship, where beauty and practicality go hand in hand.

Based in the historic market town of Ledbury, our shop and Fabric Showroom reflect the same values as our collections — carefully considered, welcoming, and always full of inspiration. Whether you visit us in person or online, you will find a place where design, craft, and quality meet.

“Delightful store filled with the most beautiful, unusual, handcrafted items.
Loved it. Will return soon.”

With expert advice on hand, samples to take away, and curtain poles and tracks to view, it’s the perfect place to shape your project. Housed in a 17th-century timber-framed building — once a tinsmith’s workshop — the showroom is at the very heart of who we are.
